The following itinerary is subject to change. Not all film locations are open every day and some small changes may be necessary. The hotels may be changed but similar accomodations will be made if changes are necessary. Every attempt will be made to stick as closely to this itinerary as possible. This trip will accomodate up to 7 travelers. We will have one driver/guide and one vehicle. We will have a PRIVATE tour - this is not part of a larger group.
Mt Airy Travel will secure flight arrangements as part of the package price.
Contintental breakfast daily; one group dinner; tickets to most of the attractions; tickets to the Military Tattoo; a private guide and all transportation; double occupancy in 3* an 4* hotels, and travel insurance.
Day 1 : arrive from US, free time in Edinburgh and also attend Military Tattoo 10 pm showing (tickets included in price of trip)
– overnight Jurys Inn or similar
Day 2 : relax in Edinburgh and see Edinburgh sites on your own. Do the Hop On/Hop Off bus*, have lunch* in a local pub (World's End Pub where Jamie and Claire were dining and had to run out to save a drunken Mr. Willoughby) if you'd like! Tour the Edinburgh Castle (tickets included in your trip pkg) and more! Stay overnight in Edinburgh Jurys Inn or similar
Day 3 : Our tour guide will join us this morning and start our Outlander tour. We'll visit Outlander sites in Edinburgh area ( Midhope Castle, Linlithgow Palace, Doune Castle and more. Overnight at Dunblane Hilton or similar
Day 4: Visit Culross , Falkland, Newtonmore Highland Folk Museum, and more, ending in Inverness (stay overnight) Glen Mhor Hotel or similar
Day 5 : Outlander Sites : Culloden, Standing Stones, Urquahart Castle and then to Skye. Overnight Skye
Day 6 : Day tour Skye – overnight Skye
Day 7 : Travel from Skye to Glasgow via Loch Lomond and visit Outlander sites; overnight Glasgow ABode Glasgow Hotel or similar
Day 8: Depart for US
*Hop On/Hop Off bus and lunch is not included. Bus tickets can be pre-arranged for you at additional cost or you can purchase them on site.
